What to Know About Compustar Remote Start

Compustar offers remote start, different remote ranges, two-way confirmation, phone control, and security options on compatible vehicles.

Why remote start makes sense in Iowa

Start the vehicle from inside and give the heat, defroster, or air conditioning time to work. That's useful on a January morning and after a car has been sitting in the July sun.

Heat and air conditioning

Remote start uses the vehicle's existing climate system. Results depend on the climate settings, outside temperature, run time, and the vehicle itself.

Range matters

A driveway doesn't require the same range as a large workplace parking lot. Buildings and other obstructions can reduce real-world range, so choose a remote for where the vehicle is actually parked.

Defrosting and clearing windows

When the controls are set correctly, remote start can give the defroster a head start. You still need to clear the windows completely before driving.

Security features

Some Compustar systems can be paired with alarm and alert features. Availability depends on the vehicle, remote, and hardware selected.

Smartphone integration

Compatible systems can add phone control through an app. Ask about current compatibility, cellular coverage, and any ongoing subscription before choosing this option.

One-way or two-way remote

A one-way remote sends a command. A compatible two-way remote can confirm that the vehicle received it. Tell CVSi what you drive and where you park to narrow down the choices.
